1. Whilst Inspectacar Ltd follows strict inspection procedures and utilise the latest specialist testing equipment, we can not be held responsible for any latent or intermittent defects that were not apparent at the time of the inspection. It would not be possible for anyone to give 100% assurance on any used vehicle; even a brand new vehicle can develop defects that were previously not evident.
Buying a used vehicle will always involve some degree of risk but we believe our thorough inspection will substantially reduce the risk of any defects developing in the foreseeable future.

2. The engineer cannot be expected comment on the vehicle’s exact specification due to the numerous variations and optional extras that can affect any particular model range. The main purpose of the inspection is to comment on the vehicle’s roadworthiness and overall condition.

3. The service involves visual examinations of visible external components only.

For instance, high mileage vehicles that may have been abused or inadequately serviced, e.g. an engine may have been run previously with low oil /coolant levels and may have latent defects that could reduce its normal life expectancy but may not exhibit any visual, audible apparent performance loss at the time of the inspection.

7. The electronic diagnostic test equipment cannot be used on all vehicles and may not always be as effective as the manufacturers own test equipment. This test will only be used for recording any fault codes that may be present in the electronic control unit’s memory.

8. Any valuation, service schedules advice or repair estimate information offered will be via a recognised third party provider and will be an approximate guide only.

9. The Road Test will be restricted by the local traffic and speed restrictions and although every effort will be made to achieve a minimum of 7 miles distance the national speed limit maximum, this may not always be achievable. Distances /speeds achieved will be entered in the report.

11. All inspection fees must be paid for in full by credit/debit card at the time of the booking. We reserve the right to deduct a cancellation fee of £25 if we are not given a minimum of 12 hours notice from the time the inspection was to be undertaken.

12. If the inspection involves a Car Data Check and is cancelled as result of the details provided from this check or for any other reason beyond our control, then a deduction for the cost of the Data Check will be made. This is currently £25-00 inclusive.
